Personal Biography:

Dr. Shelby grew up in Montana where he started learning dentistry at a young age from his father (a general dentist) the man who inspired him to become a dentist. In the past, Dr. Shelby has practiced several years of general dentistry before becoming a periodontist, which gives him a unique style of care - "a real-world approach". He currently focuses his practice on the management of periodontal disease, pre-prosthetic surgery, tooth extractions, mucogingival defects, dental implant placement, and bone grafting surgery. He loves teaching and is a clinical assistant professor at Augusta University, The Dental College of Georgia. He and his family love Tennessee and enjoy what this beautiful state has to offer. Dr. Shelby enjoys participating in church, being with his wife and two children, being outdoors and hiking mountains.
